Mason City Storm Damage 2022

Apr 13, 2022

In the evening of April 12th, Five Star Mason City sustained severe storm damage and will be closed for the foreseeable future. We are thankful that no employees were on-site at the time and there were no injuries. Team Five Star has been proactive in clean-up efforts in a safe and timely manner. The proper authorities have been notified and no immediate concerns/issues were identified but conditions will continue to be monitored.

Although, there is substantial damage to the structures on the property, inventory remained intact with no cause for concern. Our cooperative will make strategic arrangements for the spring season to deliver the highest level of service. Inventory, equipment, and personnel will be positioned to be as efficient as possible in anticipation of Five Star Mason City being closed through the spring season.

We are thankful for the support from the Mason City First Responders, Nationwide Insurance, Compass Compliance, Iowa DNR, Ries Excavation and others. We appreciate the understanding of our member-owners for these uncontrollable conditions right before spring season.

More specific details and planning will be communicated shortly. If you have further questions or immediate concerns, please reach out to Laura Underwood, Marketing & Communications Director at 641-229-1322 or Laura.Underwood@FiveStar.coop.
