NEW HAMPTON, Iowa (Dec. 31, 2025) – Five Star Cooperative has announced their 2026 Board of Directors at the cooperative’s annual member meeting on Dec. 18.
During the annual meeting, 2025 board member Terry Thomas of Rockwell, Iowa, representing the Central Region, retired from the Five Star Cooperative Board of Directors after 24 years of service. Thomas primarily served on the board as secretary during his tenure.
Re-elected to the Five Star Board of Directors for a 3-year term:
- Mark Pueggel, Ventura, Iowa, representing the Western Region
Andrew Hanna of Hanlontown, Iowa, was also nominated for a board position but was not elected.
Elected to a 3-year term as a full director after serving as an associate director for the past year:
- Patrick McGregor, Nashua, Iowa, representing the Eastern Region
Following the annual meeting, Andy Edson was appointed to serve as the Board Secretary.
Continuing to serve on the Five Star Board of Directors are:
- Tom Shatek, New Hampton, Iowa, Eastern Region Board Chairman
- Casey Schlichting, Clear Lake, Iowa, Central Region Board Vice Chairman
- Andy Edson, Nashua, Iowa, Eastern Region Board Secretary
- Brandon Wood, Rudd, Iowa, Central Region
- Jay Rice, Lime Springs, Iowa, Eastern Region
- Shana Cash, Garner, Iowa, Western Region
- Scott Glaser, Charles City, Iowa, Eastern Region
- Steve Breitbach, New Hampton, Iowa, Eastern Region
