The Sales Manager is primarily responsible for providing sales leadership to the agronomy department, however, incumbent may provide leadership for all business departments at the cooperative at times. Develops sales programs for all departments to meet company goals and objectives. Coordinates sales programs by facilitating sales training and supervision.  Supports department managers with coaching and day to day supervision of sales staff.   

Incumbent must have a customer focus and business knowledge. Provides the sales team with strategic planning, and coaching. Also provides direction, innovation/creativity, and uses sound judgment. Incumbent negotiate win/wins, uses strong technical/functional skills, facilitates change, manages accounts, builds effective teams, develops the sales team, and measures work goals.


Education- Bachelor's Degree in Agricultural related field or business degree. 5+ year's experience in agricultural sales and/or management, demonstrated knowledge in crop production and animal nutrition. Previous supervisory experience desired with demonstrated ability to build effective teams. 

License, Certificate or Registration - Valid drivers license required

Basic Skills- Speaking, Writing, Reading Comprehension, Listening, Monitoring, Judgment and Decision Making, Time Management.
